Star cars from Amelia

The #2 Concours in America ended yesterday and now we can take a quick look at the winners in preparation for our full feature later this week.

First up is a glorious Ferrari 375 MM which sports one of the largest fins in Ferrari history. After being shown at Cavallino earlier this year and the Monterey Historics in 2004, it’s nice to see this white brute take Amelia’s competition award. A complementary Concours d’Elegance trophy went to the Nethercutt Collection for their Talbot Lago Teardrop.

A major auction was held which was brought $1 650 000 USD for this stately Packard Twin Six. Our choice would have instead been this black Shelby Cobra 427 which sold for $700 000 USD.

We also have another sharp gallery from Matteo TT Stucchi, this time from the Coppa Milano-Sanremo which opens the classic season in Italy. We picked the best of his shots for our gallery, and the rest can be found on his site: swisscarsightings.com
