2008 Maserati GranTurismo Corse Concept
With a fully upgraded driveline, chassis and body, the MC Corse is what a FIAGT-ready GranTurismo might look like.
Engineers at Maserati have massaged the supercar's flat plane crank V8 to produce around 450 BHP. This is possible with a new intake system and competition catalytic converters. Furthermore, the suspension has been altered to fit 18x12-inch front and 18x13-inch rear wheels.
Both the front and rear get a new look, that larger apertures. The rear accommodates a new diffuser as well as a center-exiting exhaust.
Inside, there is little comfort for the driver. The cockpit has been sufficiently stripped for weight reduction and is lacking a passenger seat. With an FIA-spec roll cage we can only hope this design will make it on the track.
