1988 Renault Mégane Concept

Renault’s 1st Concept car, Mégane is a spacious 4-seater saloon with a centre-pillarless design exuding comfort and luxury. Mégane can be transformed from a saloon with roomy boot to a hatchback. The rear wrap-around screen moves back by 35 cm to add extra cabin space. All doors and windows are electrically operated and doors are individually remote-operated via an infrared transmitter. Large sliding side doors provide a continuous opening 1.65 m in length. The driver seat, with memorized positions, pivots through 60°, while the front passenger seat swivels 180°, so that front and rear passengers can enjoy the ride together.
