1967 McLaren M6A

McLaren dominated the 1967 Can-Am season with their papaya-orange M6A driven by Bruce McLaren himself and fellow New Zealander Denny Hulme.

Denny Hulme won three races and Bruce McLaren took two victories which put them on top of the Driver’s Championship that year.

The M6A was McLaren’s first monocoque design and was put together by Robin Herd, Gordon Coppuck, Tyler Alexander, and Don Beresford alongside McLaren himself who was working on the F1 efforts.

McLaren put considerable effort in the M6A, racking up over 2000 testing hours before contesting all six rounds of the Canadian-American Challenge.
