Our completed gallery from The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering is now online with many of the great highlights included within.
This year we heard many people say that this event is the reason they now come to Monterey. I think that's because the atmosphere is just right; the cars are are the best in the world and like-minded can enjoy them together.
Along with six different cuisines throughout the venue, there were wines, liquors, cheeses, caviar, gelatos and live entertainment on offer.
This year the press conference schedule included many notable debuts including the 2013 BMW Concept M4 Coupe and the 2013 Bugatti 16/4 Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse ‘Jean-Pierre Wimille’ as well as the North American debut of the Lamborghini Veneno.
Another highlight was a fireside chat with Michael Schumacher and his team manger Jean Todt which was led by Alain de Cadenet. Hopefully the whole discussion will be put up online somewhere.
The Quail was also notable for the exceptional presentation of post-war cars, many of which were immaculately prepared, or low mileage, or completely unrestored. This included an area filled with Aston Martins for their centennial year and another area for Lamborghini's 50th.
Our gallery has all of the great cars and will serve as a warmup to our feature video which is in post-production.
