The C7R was almost entirely bespoke with a new carbon fiber monocoque and the 383 CI all-aluminum V8 sitting behind the front wheels. The C7R had a short-lived racing career that started at the 1996 24 Hours of Le Mans test day and one attempt at the 1997 Rolex 24 at Daytona where the car did not finish.
