The &#8220;base&#8221; Stingray features a new 6.2L Small Block V-8 LT2 engine producing 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque in a mid-engined layout. A total game-changer. Think of it as a Ferrari 488 for about $60,000. However, not one to rest on their laurels, the Corvette department pinched some ideas from Corvette Racing, as well as the engine from the C8.R race car, and after some serious engineering work to get it to behave with 91 or better octane pump gas, the howling, screaming engine was unleashed upon a very hungry public in 2023 in the form of the Z06. Still not satisfied, new this year is the Corvette E-Ray, using hybrid technology to pump up performance, boasting 655 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and blistering acceleration. The ultimate Corvette, the ZR1 was recently announced and comes along in 1064 hp as a 2025 model year car.
