\"\"<\/a>Former Formula One World Champion Nigel Mansell is no stranger to hard-fought battles but not usually on the grounds of his stately manor.<\/p>\n

Late in April, police on the British Channel Island of Jersey were called to the home of Mansell when it was reported that the 49-year-old Briton was attacked by eight young men trespassing on the grounds of Mansell\u2019s estate. Mansell apparently scuffled with the intruders and suffered various cuts and bruises as a result. While the police have apprehended five of the suspects, Mansell is keeping a tight lip on the affair. \u201cWe can confirm that there was an incident which is being dealt with by Jersey Police,\u201d said Mansell. \u201cWe have been advised by them not to comment further.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
