Founded in 1960, Ginetta cars specialized in the production of \u201ckit cars\u201d for racing and later graduated to the production of road cars. In 1961, Ginetta created the G4, a multi-tubular spaceframe sports car with Ford mechanical components. The G4 saw much success in British sports car racing in the early \u201960s at the hands of drivers like John Burton and Chris Meek.
