Leaving the factory in November 1966, this Aston Martin DB6 was equipped from new with various options: power steering, automatic gearbox, heated rear windscreen, seat belts, chrome wheels and electric aerial. Having had two owners in England, the car left for Luxembourg in 1982 before being sold at auction in 1986 in France by Maitre Osenat. It then came under the hammer of Maitre Poulain in 1987 and again in 1990. The engine was re-built in 1995 and the odometer reads 31 000 km today, having covered just 7 000 km since the mechanical restoration. In 2009-2010, the bodywork was restored by Aston Martin Paris and in 2014 the gearbox was rebuilt by Aston Martin Stuttgart. The blue CM 3282 (original color) Connolly leather upholstery is in lovely condition. The car is being sold with its original owner’s manual in French and English, the spare parts catalogue and repair manual.
\nThe last of the line created by Touring, the DB6 was equipped with the splendid 285 bhp six-cylinder twin-cam engine and had the advantage of a larger interior than its predecessors. This DB6 has been carefully maintained and the owner has assured us it is in impeccable condition, with an engine that performs beautifully. Clearly, having spent time at Aston Martin, this Aston must be in perfect mechanical condition.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Right-hand drive chassis number ‘4224’ was built for the UK market and despatched from the factory on 28th July 1970 to the Wharfe Garages Ltd dealership. The car was finished in Verde Aqua with Pigskin interior trim, and was delivered equipped with two seatbelts and a Radiomobile radio. A BMIHT certificate confirming matching chassis and engine numbers, and an appraisal (in German) comes with the car.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The car on offer was sold new in France and registered on 22 July 1968 by its first owner in Eure-et-Loir with the number 798 PM 28. It was subsequently bought through the Mirabeau garage by our gentleman collector, who then passed it on to his son, the current owner. It was registered with its present number 444 BWL 75 on 23 November 1977. Maintained regularly by Normandie Motors (various invoices are included in the file), the car has a stainless steel exhaust and is fitted with Michelin 205\/70 VR 15 radial tyres. According to the owner these tyres have transformed the car’s handling which is now much more precise. Presented in metallic bordeaux red, it is in excellent original condition. The leather upholstery retains a nice patina which adds to the charm of the car without taking anything away from the comfort. The dashboard, in good condition, is complete with all its instruments and controls and a central console houses the period Voxson “Montlh\u00e9ry” radio. The car comes with a set of wire wheels, bought in period at the Mirabeau garage, an instruction manual in English and a toolkit. The compact rear seats provide enough room for a family outing, in a greater level of comfort than its predecessors. The current owner has particularly enjoyed being able to take his children out in the car on various trips. Moreover, he has participated in numerous club rallies, notably the Aston Martin Jubilee celebrations in England in 1985.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This 1967 DB6 Coup\u00e9, DB6\/3000\/R, is an original right-hand drive example, delivered new with engine no. 400\/2974. According to a copy of the original build sheet, its guarantee was issued on 5 October 1967, and it was sold new in the UK via prominent dealer H.R. Owen to its original owner O.S. Love, Esq. and registered as PHM 611 E. As delivered, it was equipped with a 3.73:1 rear-axle ratio, Avon Turbospeed GT tyres on chrome wheels with three-ear hubcaps, a heated rear screen and a power-operated radio antenna. During the intervening years, DB6\/3000\/R was refinished in Fiesta Red with dyed tan hides, and in 1989, it formed part of the Aston Martin feature gathering at the Pebble Beach Concours d\u2019Elegance. Today, the car remains very presentable overall and features a very nice engine bay, excellent paint and shutlines and fresh-appearing chrome wire wheels shod with Michelin tyres. Only some apparent wear and light scratches to the window frame brightwork mar its otherwise outstanding visual appearance. The engine number matches that on the chassis plate, which is 400\/3039. Nicely presented and offered from a private Aston Martin collection, this is an excellent example of the last and most refined iteration of the marque\u2019s most famous grand-touring design.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Beautifully finished in the classic and always tasteful Aston Green with a tan Connolly leather interior and matching beige Wilton wool carpets, this particular DB6 was originally owned by John Chapman of the London Aston Martin main agency Chapman Spooner, whose numerous Aston Martin Owners Club concours wins are celebrated with an impressive array of Club plaques on the glove box door. Originally a right-hand drive car, a properly executed conversion to left-hand drive was performed by the Aston Martin factory prior to shipment of the car to California in the 1980s. The DB6 has enjoyed a sympathetic process of restoration and conservation over the intervening years, resulting in the beautiful, ready-to-use example displayed here. Looking resplendent today with a complete exterior refinish by Kevin Kay Restorations, the DB6 features the very desirable ZF five-speed manual gearbox. Close inspection will reveal the interior upholstery in remarkable original condition while the Wilton carpeting is fresh (also fitted by Kevin Kay). The car includes its owner\u2019s handbook, a thick document file, a restored jack and a complete tool roll. The mileage from new is approximately 76,500. Show more.<\/a>
