IN 1958 Cadillac unveiled the Biarritz name for their line of Eldorado Convertibles. Throughout the subsequent years, the design became more dramatic, eventually reaching the iconic 1959 with huge tail fins and rocket-age lights. <\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe Dakota Red car offered here has been part of its owner\u2019s prominent collection for several years, during which time it has been well-maintained. The parade boot cover for the convertible top has been repainted the correct color, and during the course of a full service, which was performed in December 2014, the car was fitted with all-new brake wheel cylinders, mistakes in an earlier wiring job were correctly repaired, and a new fuel tank was installed. \nPresented in its original, period exterior finish of Starlight Silver Metallic with a brilliant red leather interior and black vinyl soft top, this Eldorado has hardly been driven since leaving the Jenkins shop, with only test and sorting mileage covered. The distinctive finned Turbine wheels have been freshly refinished, and all the chrome and bright trim has been restored or refinished to a high level. The interior is new, with expertly done upholstery and the extensive bright trim finished to a high level. Under the hood the distinctive \u2018bat wing\u2019 air cleaner, underneath which sit dual four-barrel carburetors, dominates the view.
