Special features included a lavish interior and a disappearing top which would later appear on the 1953 Eldorado. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Roadster started out as a standard production 1951 Series 62 Coupe. From this platform Cadillac&#8217;s engineering department shortened the wheelbase by 10 inches and also lowered the height by six inches.<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the well appointed dashboard featured amenities such as an altimeter, stopwatch, rpm and vacuum gauges for the passenger.<\/p>\n<p>The car stayed in the Boyer family for a considerable time until is was purchased and restored for inclusion into the John Motzart collection in Palo Alto, California.
