Intrepid RM-1"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>1991 Intrepid RM-1<\/h1>\n<p><span id=\"intelliTXT\">Jim Miller of the famous Pratt &amp; Miller commissioned and built the Intrepid RM-1 for the 1991 IMSA GTP season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The design was entrusted to Riley Technologies were Bob Riley and his son sketched a GTP model that had as much downforce as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Pratt &amp; Miller handled construction of the RM-1 and Chevrolet offered an 800 bhp version of Katech-built small-block V8.<\/p>\n<p>Fielded by MTI and Tom Milner Racing the RM-1s had a steady streak of finishes with occasional podium finishes including 1st overall at the 1991 Hours of New Orleans as the only victory.<\/p>\n<p>As the RM-1 was built with incredible levels of downforce, it was more suited for the smaller tracks and not large endurance tracks like Daytona.<\/p>\n<p>Momentum for the RM-1 project fell when Tommy Kendall&#8217;s rear suspension failed at Watkins Glen sending him into the wall at
