1997 Callaway C7R<\/h1>\n

In 1997 Callaway Cars made a GT1 version of their LM Corvette for endurance sports car racing. <\/span><\/p>\n

The C7R was almost entirely bespoke with a new carbon fiber monocoque and the 383 CI all-aluminum V8 sitting behind the front wheels.<\/p>\n

The C7R had a short-lived racing career that started at the 1996 24 Hours of Le Mans test day and one attempt at the 1997 Rolex 24 at Daytona where the car did not finish.<\/p>\n

1997 Callaway C7R TPSW02F002 <\/a> – did not sell for $150,000<\/b> 1 of 2 Callaway C7Rs built in 1997. The other belongs to founder Reeves Callaway. The first completely all Callaway automobile. Full monocoque carbon fiber front end. Mid-engine powered 383 all aluminum engine with 640 HP. Rear trans-axle. Driven by Ron Fellows, Johnny Unser, Boris Said and Enrico Bertiggia. Spare graphics included. Sold on Bill of Sale.
