{"id":168968,"date":"2016-03-26T18:56:06","date_gmt":"2016-03-26T18:56:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=168968"},"modified":"2024-05-23T20:29:44","modified_gmt":"2024-05-23T20:29:44","slug":"2003-carlsson-sl-rs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/2003-carlsson-sl-rs\/","title":{"rendered":"2003 Carlsson SL-RS"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>2003 Carlsson SL-RS<\/h1>\n<div class=\"copy-paste-block\">\n<p><span id=\"intelliTXT\">At the Essen Motor Show 2003, Mercedes tuner Carlsson is showing the fastest SL currently on the market: the Carlsson SL-RS with 560 bhp.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Tuning boosts the engine output of the elegant roadster to a massive 560 bhp \/ 412 kW (580 bhp \/ 426 kW export) with maximum torque of 780 Nm at 2600 rpm and greatly underscores the sporting character of the Carlsson SL-RS. Top speed has been measured at over 332 km\/h while acceleration from 0 to 100 km\/h takes a mere 4.2 seconds &#8211; from 0 to 200 km\/h only 13.06 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>For the SL-RS, Carlsson offers the C-Tronic electronic lowering system, which lowers the car by approx. 30 mm. The result: a lower centre of gravity, a sporting appearance and reduced aerodynamic drag.<\/p>\n<p>The ambitious programme for the SL-RS includes an aerodynamically effective front-spoiler lip that cuts lift and gives the unique roadster the character of a genuine racing car.<\/p>\n<p>The interior fittings are also of the finest. Upholstered in breathable Carlsson design leather, the seats have active ventilation for rapid cooling and seat heating. Together with the front seats and oddments tray, both doors are covered in this high-quality material.
