for the North American Market, the Alex Zanardi edition was basically a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/tag\/acura-nsx\/\">lightweight NSX coupe<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The were produced to commemorate Zanardi&#8217;s championship CART seasons and painted New Formula Red to match the CART racecar.<\/p>\n<p>At the time Honda and Acura were only making Targa versions a ceased production of the coupe in 1995 making the 1999 Alex Zanardi Edition even more special.<\/p>\n<p>Features of the Alex Zanardi Edition were taken from the Japanese market NSX Type S and include a lightweight rear spoiler, single pane rear glass, BBS wheels and a lighter battery which helped shed 150 lbs off the production version.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 51 cars were built including chassis 0\/50 which was a press
