1964 was the last year for the second generation Biscayne which could be ordered Chevrolet’s big-block V8 engine including the 409\/425HP. Included with the package was the Muncie 4-Speed transmission with Hurst shifter and different final drive. <\/span><\/p>\n

Very few Biscaynes were ordered with the 409 because it was the least expensive model in the Chevrolet lineup. Cars could be ordered as a two or four-door sedan. Because of this rarity the 409 Biscayne is highly sought after in the collector car market.<\/p>\n
