1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray L71 427\/435 HP<\/h1>\n

The L71 was Chevrolet’s most powerful engine in 1967 which replaced the big-block L71 from the previous year. Using it’s famous ‘Tri Power’ intake manifold was rated by the factory at 435 bhp. Costing $437.10, 3,754 Corvettes were made with the L71 options and they could not come with automatic transmissions nor air conditioning.<\/span><\/p>\n

During their 20 years of excellent care, they drove the car sparingly and conducted some very limited restorative work, mainly refurbishing the interior with new upholstery and carpets. The current owner purchased this scintillating Stingray in 2006 and the following year retained David Cron, the manager of a large private collection, to conduct some freshening of mechanical and cosmetic features as needed. In late 2008, the car was inspected and assessed in a formal report by Everett Brewster, a Corvette expert and owner of Corvettes Unlimited of America in Ozark, Missouri.
