1965 BMW 1800 TI\/SA<\/h1>\n

The 1800TISA was produced in 1965 specifically for works team in the mid-1960s. Only 200 such cars were built featuring twin carburetors, a higher compression ratio and a five speed gearbox. The 130bhp TI\/SA won many races including a second place finish the 24 Hours of Spa. Hubert Hahne also won the German national championship in 1964.<\/span><\/p>\n

The car was based off the standard based on the 1800TI (Turismo Internationale) and upgraded to SonderAusf\u00fchrung specification by the factory.<\/p>\n

Only 200 genuine factory-built \u2018Tisas\u2019 were made, most of which are either in private ownership or German museums, so the appearance of one on the open market is an event of considerable importance. Supplied new in Germany, this example was previously owned, raced and restored by well-known marque expert and BMW CCA leading light Art Krill of Colorado. The car has the 130bhp (DIN) engine, breathing via twin Webers, and a Getrag five-speed, close-ratio gearbox, while other noteworthy features include special suspension, factory lightweight racing bucket seats, roll cage and column-mounted tachometer. Ready to resume its competition career or, alternatively, return to the street, this rare, historic BMW competition model is offered with owner\u2019s handbook and Certificate of Title.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
