Ferrari 125 Sport Photo Gallery & Videos<\/h1>\n

The Ferrari 125 S (commonly 125 or 125 Sport) was the first vehicle produced and built by Ferrari. Although preceded by Enzo Ferrari’s Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 of 1940, the 125 S was the first vehicle to bear the Ferrari name when it debuted on May 11, 1947 at the Piacenza racing circuit. It took two years of development process (started from scratch) to launch the 125 S.<\/p>\n

Although it featured a body shape similar to the Tipo 815, the 125 S was strikingly unique. It had only one door, the one on the passenger side. The driver didn\u2019t need one – a cut-out in the metal through which he could jump in was deemed sufficient. It also had a unique, long bonnet that was different to any other car from the same era.\u00a0Under its long bonnet, the 125 S hid a 1.5-liter V12 engine with a total of 118 hp.<\/p>\n
