In 1996 Alfa Corse prepared a version of their DTM car for the FIA-sanctioned International Touring Car Championship (ITC).<\/span><\/p>\n

Teams Martini Alfa Corse, JAS Motorsport Alfa Romeo and TV Spielfilm Alfa Corse contested the very expensive season with exotic stops at Suzuka and Interlagos.<\/p>\n

Alessandro Nannini was bar far the most successful Alfa Romeo driver, winning seven rounds, but losing many points to retirements.<\/p>\n

The new model used a new 2.5-litre 90\u00b0 V6 that produced around 480 bhp. The body was also modified to include a new A-pillar cover and slight detail differences around the car.<\/p>\n
