1931 Bugatti Type 46 Coup\u00e9 Profil\u00e9e<\/h1>\n

With its streamlined body and luxurious chassis, the Coup\u00e9 Profil\u00e9e was the ultimate Bugatti in 1931. It followed both the Atlantic and Atalante, which had a dramatic fastback designs with a sloping rear-end. The Type-46 took the theme even further by extending the rear fenders and cutting off the trunk area.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the time, the Type 46 was Bugatti’s top chassis and included a unique engine that cast the cylinder head and block in one casting. This design eventually produced the Type 41 Royale.<\/p>\n

Jean Bugatti personally styled the Coup\u00e9 Profil\u00e9e which influenced many of his later designs including the Type 57 Ventoux and Type 50 Semi-Profil\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Chassis<\/h2>\n

\"1931<\/a> 46491 – 1931 Type 46. Built on an unused chassis and received a recreated bodywork faithful to the Coup\u00e9 Profil\u00e9e design by Aston Keynes Vintage Restorations. During the build, the Bugatti Trust assisted to make it correct in every way.<\/p>\n

\"1931<\/a>46482 – Owned by the Schlumpf Brothers and later became a part of the centerpiece collection at the French National Motor Museum.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
