It followed both the Atlantic and Atalante, which had a dramatic fastback designs with a sloping rear-end. The Type-46 took the theme even further by extending the rear fenders and cutting off the trunk area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>At the time, the Type 46 was Bugatti&#8217;s top chassis and included a unique engine that cast the cylinder head and block in one casting. This design eventually produced the Type 41 Royale.<\/p>\n<p>Jean Bugatti personally styled the Coup\u00e9 Profil\u00e9e which influenced many of his later designs including the Type 57 Ventoux and Type 50 Semi-Profil\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<div class=\"copy-paste-block\">\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Chassis<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/873839small.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-278439 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/873839small.jpg\" alt=\"1931 Bugatti Type 46 Coup\u00e9 Profil\u00e9e\" width=\"\" height=\"\"><\/a>&nbsp;46491 &#8211; 1931 Type 46. Built on an unused chassis and received a recreated bodywork faithful to the Coup\u00e9 Profil\u00e9e design by Aston Keynes Vintage Restorations. During the build, the Bugatti Trust assisted to make it correct in every way.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/16788small.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-278440 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/16788small.jpg\" alt=\"1931 Bugatti Type 46 Coup\u00e9
