Both cars shared much of the same styling, but the 2000 featured twin scoops on the hood and was larger in size.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The new 2000 series was largely based on the outgoing 1900. Both used a twin-overhead camshaft engine with a unitary body design. The cast-iron engine block used an aluminum cylinder head and produced 110 bhp.<\/p>\n<p>In 1962, the Spider was replaced by the 6-cylinder Alfa Romeo 2600.
