Made as a Berlina, Sprint or Spider the 2600 was Alfa Romeo’s flagship model for seven years. Other variants included the Sprint Zagato, the Panteraand Gazzella patrol cars as well as a few one-of prototypes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the hood is a capable double overhead-camshaft inline six which could propel the 2600 to 125 mph.<\/p>\n

1963 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider AR191484<\/a> – sold for $110,000<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Alfa Romeo’s Centro Documentazione, this Touring bodied 2600 Spider was completed at the Alfa Romeo plant in January, 1963, and delivered to its first owner trough Hoffman Motor Car Company, New York, USA in February that same year. The car was finished in a Grigio Biacca grey exterior color. The cars early history remains unknown, but the car is believed to have spent much time in the Southern California climate. The car was purchased a few years ago from a family in Riverside County, CA, for a collector in Florida, who later sold the car to the consignor.<\/p>\n

1963 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider<\/a> – sold for $60,500<\/b><\/p>\n

This Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider is presented in a very elegant and refined triple dark blue color scheme. Restored some years ago by Hyannis Restoration, then used sparingly, it has benefitted from a recent cosmetic freshening. This has included a re-spray in the original color, and the bright trim is reported to be in excellent condition. Inside, the dark blue leather interior appears to show almost no wear, with nicely broken-in seats and a period Becker radio in the dashboard. To complete the presentation, a new correct canvas soft top has been installed.<\/p>\n
