While the top of the range was represented by the 4.1-litre, 340 America, Ferrari also sold the 212 chassis as a customer racecar. It officially sold as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/category\/brand\/ferrari\/212-export\">212 Expor<\/a>t and was produced alongside the 212 Inter, which was aimed towards the touring customer. During the early fifties the 212 became Ferrari&#8217;s best selling product.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Some cars with destinations within Europe but outside Italy were given the Export Europa serial number. Rossellini himself was one of the most important directors of Italian neo-realist cinema. His love of film began as a boy, when his father built the first cinema in Rome, thus giving the young Rossellini unlimited access to the movies.<\/div>\n<div class=\"copy-paste-block\">\n<div class=\"copy-paste-block\">\n<div class=\"copy-paste-block\">\n<div id=\"example\">\n<p>After taking delivery of the Ferrari in Rome, Rossellini and Bergman drove the car north, through the Alps of northern Italy and Switzerland into Germany, and then caught a ferry to Denmark. They eventually arrived at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm at 3.00 a.m.; the following day Bergman received a movie award. Not just restricted to the duties of personal transportation, in August 1953, Rossellini raced 0265 EU in the VII Stella Alpina event.<\/p>\n<p>S\/N 0265 EU has undergone a painstaking restoration bringing the car back to its original colour combination of silver (gray) over black and is ready to participate in the most prestigious vintage Ferrari events. Full documentation of the restoration, which was carried out in Germany, is available as well as copies of the first registration document in the name of Roberto Rossellini himself.
