Typical races included long mountain stretches which required excellent vision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Built to Group 6 specification, the Montagna Corsa a had cut-down front windscreen and integrated roll bar.<\/p>\n<p>Later the Montagna Corsa inspired the Ferrari 212 E Montagna which used a flat-12 engine in a similar chassis and body.<\/p>\n<p>Our feature example is chassis 018 which was originally delivered with a regular body for Luigi Chinetti and the North American Racing Team. In 1967 the car was at the factory and converted into the mountain climber specification for Scuderia Pescara. It won first time out at Monte Brice and continued to win throughout 1968 and 1969. It was also upgraded to the 231B engine with 3 valves per cylinder and Lucas fuel injection.<\/p>\n<figure class='gallery-item'>\r\n            <div class='gallery-icon landscape'>\r\n
