The engine, known internally as the V6-4AC-24, was launched at the Turin Motor Show in April 1988, while the car followed in December at Maserati&#8217;s press meeting traditionally organised by Alejandro De Tomaso in Modena.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Compared to the standard Biturbos, the 2.24v featured restyled front and rear aprons, extended sills, a large tail spoiler and a two-tone paint scheme, along the lines of the Biturbo S.<\/p>\n<p>The car later came with an optional active damping system by Koni, and was subject to a restyling in 1991 with a new nose and headlights recalling the
