1921 Mercedes 28\/95HP<\/h1>\n

This car was DMG’s flagship from 1914 to 1924 and laid the foundation of the high reputation of the great Mercedes-Benz sports cars. In the early twenties, its engine was used as a test carrier for the supercharger with which it won the over 4.5 l production car class in the 1922 Targa Florio, piloted by Max Sailer who had already won the production car category with the natural aspirated 28\/95 hp car in the 1921 event.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 28\/95 was also the last model before the eventual merger of Daimer and Mercedes. It was powered by a version of the Inline-6 engine that could produce a very capable 100 bhp.<\/p>\n
