It was modern interpretation of the 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, a classic, purpose-built race car with an unorthodox body by Scaglietti &amp; C.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Unlike the Testa Rossa, the 2001 Rossa was only meant to tour the show circuit. It was built upon a 2000 Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina chassis which had the necessary rigidity. Thus, the Rossa uses its 5.5-liter V12, front engine\/rear wheel drive architecture.<\/p>\n<p>Many styling elements were adopted to later models such as the rear lights which were used on the Ferrari Enzo. Eventually all Ferraris would have rear lights that broke through the body before the trailing edge.<\/p>\n<p>The interior is sculpted in with the body and much of it retains the red gloss paint. As a nod to original Testa Rossa, this car uses a classic aluminum shifter gate, but with seven positions for the modern gearbox.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Pictures<\/h2>\n<figure
