<\/b>A rare 1966 Lotus Elan S2 once owned by the famed Peter Sellers will be auctioned by Silverstone Auctions at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the National Event Centre in Birmingham this Saturday, November 14.<\/p>\n

The car was delivered to Sellers on June 22, 1966, and driven by him until February 29, 1969. It then went through two other owners before being purchased by the current vendor. The car is offered for sale having been part of an extensive private collection for more than a decade. It is in fantastically original condition and has been in dry storage off the road since August 2005. The Elan has covered 65,611 miles from new with both bodywork and mechanicals in good condition and ready for a mild restoration.<\/p>\n
