One such company is Forced Fed who have spent considerable time developing Turbo kits for the Mitsubishi Evolution and Subaru WRX, but now their attention is focused on the Elise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Built in a number of stages, the main components of the Forced Fed kit include a Garrett Turbo, a Stainless Tubular Manifold and a 3 Inch exhaust system. The first stage, running at $7800, offers 85 more horsepower thanks to 7psi boost from a Garrett GT28R turbocharger. There are no internal changes to the engine and the VVTL-i still kicks in about 6200 rpm.<\/p>\n<p>In Stage II, or Race 380 tune, ForcedFed use their &#8216;Long Block&#8217; stroker crank, Crower rods, custom pistons, and a larger Garrett GT28\/71 Turbo. The first dark blue Elise to get this treatment was subject to Car and Driver&#8217;s Superfour challenge.
