1954 Plymouth Belmont Roadster<\/h1>\n

Built for the 1954 Chicago Motor Show, the Belmont was a sports roadster designed Virgil Exner’s Advanced Styling Studio. It was offered as a possible answer to the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Thunderbird but Plymouth never went any further with the design. <\/span><\/p>\n

Its fiberglass body was fabricated by Briggs Manufacturing unlike all other Chrysler prototypes of the era which were manufactured by Ghia in steel.<\/p>\n

The car used Dodge’s 241 V8 which could produce 150 bhp and Dodge running gear.<\/p>\n
