It&#8217;s a race-bred supercar intended stricly for track use that evokes the legendary TZ and TZ2 which Zagato crafted in the sixties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The car uses a lightweight carbon fiber tub in conjuction with a carbon fiber tubular subframe. It&#8217;s powered by the 4.2-liter version of the V8 developed by Maserati &amp; Ferrari for the 3200 GT. Power is transffered to the rear wheels through at six-speed sequential transmission.<\/p>\n<p>Long time Alfa Romeo enthusiast Martin Kapp ordered the bespoke TZ3 to include in his impressive collection with a TZ, TZ2 and SZ Coda Trunca. Currently there are no plans to professionally race the TZ3, but it will be used periodically at the track.<\/p>\n<h4>Press Release.<\/h4>\n<p>Milano, April 2010: Zagato Atelier announces the introduction of the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa at the XII Villa D\u2019Este Concours d\u2019Elegance.<\/p>\n<p>The TZ3 Corsa is not a design exercise. It does not take inspiration only from the 90 year collaboration between the two brands, neither only from the Milanese conjunction between Alfa Romeo and Zagato. The TZ3 Corsa is a race car, honouring 100 years of races and victories across the whole 20th century.<\/p>\n<p>It celebrates men and machines of the Alfa Romeo Zagato common tradition: Scuderia Ferrari of the 20\u2019s and 30\u2019s, Alfa Corse of the 40\u2019s and 50\u2019s, Autodelta of the 60\u2019s and 70\u2019s up to the latest Scuderia Zagato of the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Recalling these racing emotions, the TZ3 Corsa is based on a mono shell carbon fibre tubular chassis, coupled with a tubular frame and a lightweight aluminium body. It boasts Technical Partners such as OMP and Pirelli.<\/p>\n<p>Following Zagato\u2019s gentlemen-driver heritage, the car has been commissioned by the Alfa Romeo<br \/>\nZagato collector Martin Kapp, during the Zandvoort Tribute to Zagato event, where more than 130 Alfa Romeo Zagatos were celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the brand.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Kapp owns, among his Alfa Romeo Collection: SZ
