{"id":230258,"date":"2016-04-21T23:02:40","date_gmt":"2016-04-21T23:02:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=230258"},"modified":"2024-12-27T12:55:01","modified_gmt":"2024-12-27T12:55:01","slug":"1973%e2%86%921975-lancia-stratos-group-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/1973%e2%86%921975-lancia-stratos-group-4\/","title":{"rendered":"1973 &#8211; 1975 Lancia Stratos Group 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>1973\u21921975 Lancia Stratos Group 4<\/h1>\n<p><span id=\"intelliTXT\">The Stratos was homologated in 1974 as a Group 4 contender in the World Rally Championship and it&#8217;s successful design helped Sandro Munari and Bj\u00f6rn Waldeg\u00e5rd win the championships in 1974, 1975 and 1976.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Like the road-going Stradale version the Group 4 used Ferrari&#8217;s Dino 2.4-liter V6 engine but tuned to 275 hp for the 12-valve version and 320 hp for the 24 valve version. This was possible with forged billet aluminum pistons, a ported and gas-flowed cylinder head, larger 45mm valves and twin-throat 48 IDF Weber down-draft carburetors.<\/p>\n<p>The transmission was changed to dog-leg-type gearbox with cascade ratios with all new ratios and fitted to a new sintered-metallic dual-plate clutch and lightweight flywheel.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension was fully rose-jointed with Bilstein telescopic dampers over Eibach coil springs.<\/p>\n<p>Braking was upgraded to 267mm AP Vented Discs w\/AP\/Lockheed 4-Piston Aluminum Monobloc Calipers which stopped Campagnolo 8&#215;15
