The car is finished in Cherokee Red with elegant, matching, hand-cut, and impeccably-tailored red leather. Its authenticity is fully documented; the original Lincoln assembly plant production broadcast sheets accompany the car, showing that it was assembled at the Wixom plant on November 20, 1959.<\/p>\n<p>The car was probably a factory order, as it was delivered to Schwartz Nurseries in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on December 7, 1959. Charles M. Cawley, of Wilmington, Delaware, was the second owner, purchasing the car in 2001, with actual mileage recorded as 24,787. Ford dealer and enthusiast Allan Tosczak, of Saskatchewan, Canada, acquired it in 2002, at which time he commissioned a meticulous restoration. Mr. Karl Blade acquired the Lincoln from Tosczak on January 20, 2006, the odometer registering a mere 25,512 miles. An excellent Presidential Black exterior finish, complemented by a power-operated black Hartz convertible top and rear fender skirts, accents the impressive dimensions of the Continental. In addition, the car rides on a set of proper whitewall tires that surround steel wheels with full wheel covers.<\/p>\n<div id=\"example\">\n<p>The handsome original interior contains rich red upholstery that displays a nice patina, along with matching red carpeting and a cockpit-style instrument panel enhanced by an engine-turned insert. Standard features on the Mark V include a six-way power-adjustable front seat, tinted glass, and power vent windows. In addition, this car is fitted with power brakes, power steering, power windows, and a power-operated radio antenna.<\/p>\n<p>Mechanically, the Lincoln features a rebuilt 430 cubic inch V8 engine that is beautifully detailed and finished to period correct standards, and fitted with a period correct battery, as well as correct hoses and fittings. In addition, the automatic transmission has been rebuilt, along with the braking and suspension systems. The underside of the car shows as well as any other part of the Mark V, and boasts an impressively detailed chassis and well-finished body pans.
