1937 MG VA<\/h1>\n

The MG VA was built alongside the larger SA and WA series from 1937 to 1939 and offered as the 1.5 Litre model.<\/span><\/p>\n

The VA sold for \u00a3280 to \u00a3350 and was distinguished by its 108-inch wheelbase which was the smallest in the range.<\/p>\n

It was sold with a variant of the Morris TPBG engine with twin SU carburetors. This was attached for a four-speed manual that had synchromesh on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th.<\/p>\n

MG produced just over 2400 examples of VA. The range of factory bodies included a a four-door saloon produced by Morris but other styles by Tickford and Salmons & Sons were much more expensive and elaborate.<\/p>\n

1939 MG VA Tickford Drophead Coupe VA2550<\/a> – sold for $66,000
\nRestored about ten years ago by Hal Motorworks in Burlington, Ontario, this MG VA is nicely presented in red with a tan top and interior. Having covered very little mileage since restoration, it remains fresh in all respects and has been given a recent service. The VA offers the panache of an open tourer with the comfort of a closed car and the ability to change from one to the other with ease. This car is ready to tour in any kind of weather.
