2009 Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS<\/h1>\n

After five years of development, the first Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS was unveiled at the 2009 Dutch AutoRai. Its creators Emile Pop and Justin de Boer created the 4-seat convertible using a Corvette chassis and engine.<\/span><\/p>\n

The most unique feature of the car is its gullwing rear doors that encapsulate some of the rear fender and extend to the rear of body. Emile Pop and Justin de Boer describe the car as having styling with “an aggressive line conflict”.<\/p>\n

Rivale Roadyacht GT uses a chrome molybendium frame and carbon fiber body. Up front is the Corvette’s familiar LS7 V8 engine which is slightly upgraded to produce 601 bhp @ 6,200 rpm and 750 nm of torque @ 4,800 rpm. Power is routed through an automatic transmission to the rear wheels.<\/p>\n

The Corvette’s suspension was modified to accept height-adjustable Koni dampers and a bespoke air-suspension system. Braking is provided by oversize discs with 8-piston calipers up front.<\/p>\n

Inside are multiple touch screen displays for controls including door operation, climate controls and entertainment. In keeping with its nautical theme, the floor is ‘decked’ with wood.<\/p>\n

The first Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS appeared at the 2009 Dutch AutoRai and the 2009 Top Marques Monaco.<\/p>\n
