{"id":251195,"date":"2016-04-22T21:38:48","date_gmt":"2016-04-22T21:38:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=251195"},"modified":"2024-11-03T01:21:38","modified_gmt":"2024-11-03T01:21:38","slug":"2005-roush-mustang-gt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/2005-roush-mustang-gt\/","title":{"rendered":"2005 Roush Mustang GT"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>2005 Roush Mustang GT<\/h1>\n<p><span id=\"intelliTXT\">LAS VEGAS, Nov. 2, 2004 &#8211; A new era in Ford Mustang&#8217;s 40-year performance history begins in Las Vegas at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, Nov. 2-5, with the reveal of 15 all-new 2005 Mustangs honed by the industry&#8217;s leading high-performance tuners and specialty manufacturers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In fact, the 2005 Mustang was recognized by SEMA as the most accessory friendly new vehicle at last week&#8217;s California International Auto Show in Anaheim, Calif., where it captured the first of three SEMA Vehicle Design Awards.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>Roush<\/i><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Jack Roush began his professional career in 1964 as an engineer for Ford. He eventually left to pursue his interest in engine development and motorsports. Roush Racing, which was established in 1988, has fielded cars in NASCAR, SCCA Trans-Am, IMSA road racing and IRL oval racing &#8211; and achieved success in every series. Roush-prepared Mustangs and driver Tommy Kendall dominated Trans Am in the mid-1990s.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Roush&#8217;s personal preference for hot street Mustangs (he owns more than a dozen) provided the inspiration for Roush Performance which he founded in 1995 to design, engineer and manufacture high-performance Mustangs.
