A milestone model in the RUF sequel is the RUF RCT, originally launched in 1994.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The abbreviation &#8220;RCT&#8221; stands for &#8220;RUF Carrera Turbo&#8221;. The performance gains achieved by transforming a normally-aspirated flat-six power-unit into a high-torque motor through RUF&#8217;s renowned turbo technology were enthusiastically received by devotees, clients and media alike.<\/p>\n<p>The 2014 RCT pays sincere homage to its heritage. The RUF RCT&#8217;s new, intercooled twin-turbo 3.8-litre engine develops 525 hp (386 kW) @ 6.800 rpm. Maximum torque is 502 lb\/ft (680 Nm), arriving @ 2.300 rpm and upward.<\/p>\n<p>The RCT&#8217;s rear wing creates optimum downforce over the rear axle to further augment handling, whilst directing air to the rear-mounted intercooler.<\/p>\n<p>The RUF RCT coupe can be configured with rear-wheel drive as well as an all-wheel drive powertrain. RUF&#8217;s vast options list for the RCT includes the famous IRC &#8211; or Integrated Roll Cage, custom suspension packages, as well as an enticing palette of bespoke colors.<\/p>\n<figure
