Power is transferred to the rear axle via an electronically controlled five-speed automatic transmission and a custom-developed locking differential. Thus equipped the two-seater coupe turns into a purebred sports car with extreme performance potential: The Coupe V8 6.1 takes just 4.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 &#8211; 100 km\/h. Top speed is 300 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>This kind of performance places highest demands on suspension, brakes and aerodynamics. The Startech sport suspension with gas-pressure shocks, progressive-rate springs and stronger sport sway bars was specifically calibrated to account for the higher weight of the eight-cylinder engine. It offers sporty handling in combination with everyday driving comfort.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension concept also comprises custom-tailored tire\/wheel combinations with 19- and 20-inch staggered tires. Steering commands are transmitted to Pirelli tires in size 235\/35 ZR 19, mounted on one-piece Monostar V 8.5Jx19 five-spoke wheels. 255\/30 ZR 20 high-performance tires on 9.5Jx20 wheels guarantee maximum traction on the rear axle.<\/p>\n<p>A high-performance brake system features six-piston aluminum fixed calipers and 355-mm vented and cross-drilled discs on the front axle in combination with 300-mm discs and four-piston aluminum fixed calipers in back. This system offers maximum stopping power and maximum endurance at all times.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><i>Exterior and Interior<\/i><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The high speeds attained by the V8 6.1 necessitate aerodynamic efficiency. To reduce lift on the front axle and to give the coupe even more prestige, designers and aerodynamics engineers developed a front spoiler which attached to the stock bumper mounts. Lift on the rear axle is minimized by the Startech diffuser inserts that rest upon the stock rear bumper, a roof spoiler and the rear spoiler, which deploys together with the stock rear spoiler.<\/p>\n<p>Exclusive interior design is another Stratech specialty. In addition to its performance, the V8 6.1 also offers a special ambiance in the cockpit. The company&#8217;s upholstery shop created a custom bi-color leather interior crafted from especially soft yet durable black and azure blue Mastik leather.<\/p>\n<p>Applications from handmade silver exposed carbon for dashboard, center console, door panels, shift knob and emergency brake lever add sporty highlights, as does the ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel with airbag.<\/p>\n<p>Brushed stainless-steel sill plates with illuminated logos add exclusive character as do the velour floor mats and cargo cover with partition netting. In addition a VDO Dayton MS 4200 RS navigation system was also integrated stylishly in the two-seater&#8217;s interior.<\/p>\n<p>The STARTECH Coupe V8 6.1 is being hand-built in an exclusive small-series production run.
