This included an egg-crate grill and a slimmer, more squared-off front hood scoop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Available as an option was the Special Series engine with three SU HD8 carburetors and a new cylinder head with larger valves. A full Vantage-spec DB4 Series IV included this engine with covered headlights from the DB4 GT.<\/p>\n<p>Our feature DB4 Series IV, chassis DB4\/827\/L, was originally delivered to Ontario, Canada in Caribbean Pearl with dark blue Connolly leather. Retained by the same family for over 50 years and kept in original condition.<\/p>\n<p>At their 2011 Amelia Island sale, Gooding &amp; Company sold DB4\/827\/L for $440,000 USD. It had only 39,262 miles on the odometer with original exterior paint, date-coded Triplex glass, Lucas Le Mans headlamps, window felt, rubber weather stripping. It was sold with the original owner&#8217;s manual, the sales agent&#8217;s business card, jack, Dunlop RS5 spare and leather jack straps.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 the car was thoroughly cleaned for inclusion
