The Skunk2 Civic SiR was one of these cars and was built to showcase what is possible with the new Si platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Skunk2 is actively involved in various forms of motor sport and their competition parts benefit from it. Their current projects include an RSX NHRA drag racer and another RSX, sponsored by Import Tuner magazine for the RSX Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>This particular Civic SiR packs a serious punch thanks to a completely modified engine. Modifications include Skunk2 pistons, connecting rods, CNC ported head with Skunk2 Racing camshafts, cam gears, forged valves and titanium valve retainers, RC Engineering injectors, Hondata&#8217;s ECU and prototype exhaust and intake systems.<\/p>\n<p>The car&#8217;s Stealth Black body hunkers down on its Volk Racing wheels thanks to Skunk2 Racing springs and Moton shocks. Inside, the stock driver&#8217;s seat is replaced with a Recaro\/Braille SPG carbon\/Kevlar chair with a Willans racing harness.<\/p>\n<h4>Story by Honda &amp; Supercars.net<\/h4>\n<figure
