Named after it’s 98 bhp, inline-8 engine, this Auburn was an alternative to the Cord L29. <\/span><\/p>\n

This model line was first introduced in 1925 using Lycoming engine and was comprehensively upgraded by Alan Leamy for the 1931 model year. This same year a new design was used for the speedster which became one of the most desirable models.<\/p>\n

The example offered here benefits from an older, high-quality restoration and single ownership over the past 26 years. Finished in a dazzling two-tone blue lacquer finish, the handsome Boattail Speedster rides on dark blue painted wire wheels with wide whitewall tires. It is also fitted with dual sidemounts with cloth covers and chrome side view mirrors. Other features include Pilot Ray lights, dual chrome-plated horns, dual cowl-mounted accessory lights, a clock mounted within the rearview mirror, a Bijur chassis lubricating system, and free-wheeling capability.
