In order for electric cars to be supplied at such a high volume, an extremely large factory is needed to cope with the demand.<\/p>\n

When one thinks of Nevada, they are more that likely to think of Las Vegas and the countless roulette wheels and speed poker<\/a> tables that inhabit the many casinos along the Vegas strip. What they might not know is that Tesla\u2019s biggest manufacturing plant, the Gigafactory lies in the heart of the Nevada desert, with the intent of producing 500,000 cars a year by the end of the decade. Teslas are growing in popularity, so much so that other manufacturers have launched their own electric cars to compete with the Tesla range, here we take a look at some of the best.<\/p>\n

Chevrolet Bolt<\/b><\/p>\n

With an average range of 200 miles before it will need recharging, the Bolt is a very powerful automobile that offers the latest cutting edge technology that you would expect from an electric car. Renault Zoe<\/b><\/p>\n

The French car franchise is also jumping on the revolutionary bandwagon with their offering, the Zoe. Nissan Leaf<\/b><\/p>\n

A more affordable alternative to the Tesla, the Nissan Leaf is the ultimate zero emission family car. The car can reach an expected 155 miles per charge, and as an extra perk, the UK Government is currently offering an incentive where they will cover up to 35% of the cost of all Ultra Low Emissions Vehicles, and it would also provide an exception from London\u2019s congestion charge. You can also communicate with your Leaf via your smartphone, laptop or tablet with the app that enables you to schedule a charging time or even activate the climate control feature.
