In the 1980s the team at Electramotive\u00a0and Don\u00a0Devendorf<\/a>\u00a0were renowned for the preparation of racing and road-going Nissans. So\u00a0it was only fitting that when Nissan<\/a> decided to move into the GTP category,\u00a0Devendorf\u00a0and his team were tasked to lead the project.\u00a0Devendorf, along with Yoshi\u00a0Suzuka\u00a0and Wes Moss created the GTP-ZX Turbo\u00a0with a Lola chassis.\u00a0Through the real-world racing experience of the model, this forerunner to the Nissan NPT-90, went through a lot of upgrades, enhancements, and redesign from 1984 to 1990.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In the latter part of the 1988 season, Geoff Brabham became the GTP driver champion and kept his winning streak using Nissan GTP cars for the next three years.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
