Back then, only a couple of cars were capable of coming close to matching its performance. Everyone even thought that we will never be able to see another road-going car that much raw power and presences as the McLaren F1. On this video, the car reached its official top speed of 240.1 mph. The record-setting test run was done back in 1998, deep in the forests of Germany.<\/p>\n<p>McLaren just released this unseen footage of the test run which took place at the Ehra-Lessien proving grounds.
