Practice With A Friend<\/h2>\n

If you don\u2019t have your own car just yet, it could be worth asking a friend or relative if you could get insured on their car. That way, you can go out on a few practice drives with them in the passenger seat helping you out. The price of getting added to the insurance will depend on a variety of things, including age and when you passed your test. But this can be a cheaper option compared to <\/span>buying a car<\/span><\/a>, especially if you only want to try driving again to see if you want to keep it up for good.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stick To Quiet Roads<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you haven\u2019t been out driving for quite some time, it will be best if you stick to the quiet roads at first away from too much traffic. If you live close to the <\/span>countryside<\/span><\/a>, it could be worth heading out there and finding a very quiet country lane to drive up. There are lots of driving instructors who offer refresher courses to drivers who are planning on getting back behind the wheel after a long time out of the driver\u2019s seat. These instructors will take you out for a few lessons to get you back into the swing of things, and you can even take a <\/span>free permit practice test<\/span><\/a> if you want something official to show that you are still a safe driver! These extra lessons might seem like a lot of money at first, but they are invaluable when it comes to brushing up on your driving skills. Always Plan Ahead<\/h2>\n

Before you leave for your first few journeys, you will find that things are a lot easier if you plan your journey in advance. This way, you will know exactly where you need to go and can solely focus on getting used to driving again. Things can get very stressful when you are trying to control the car, be aware of other drivers, and try to figure out where you are going all at the same time!
