I think it\u2019s a classic that everybody likes; you don\u2019t need to be a car aficionado to like this car,\u201d says Miguel Rodrigo. \u201cI\u2019ve driven it very hard from border to border twice with no problems whatsoever\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s how Miguel describes his beloved Jaguar E-Type, a vehicle prized not only for its rarity, but for its beauty, performance, and, now, years of happy motoring memories\u2014including its role in staging Peru\u2019s version of the Cannonball* rally.<\/p>\n<p>After a number of entrants dropped out, the field flew away from the start, with Miguel and his E-Type finishing four hours ahead of second place, not bad for a race across Peru in a vehicle he\u2019d bought at a U.S. auto auction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fun part is the traveling, not getting to Point B,\u201d he says. \u201cSometimes, people only think about getting to Point B, but they don\u2019t have the enjoyment from the whole process of traveling.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this week&#8217;s episode from Petrolicious, we take a close look at the story of a Jaguar E-Type that took on a journey from border to border without any problems whatsoever.
