In Mecum\u2019s 34-year history, it is the highest single-auction total they have ever achieved.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The 2021 Mecum Kissimmee Auction was held over 10 straight days from January 7-16 at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohpark.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida<\/a>. The auction saw 2,030 collector cars\u00a0acquired by their new owners, having an 89% sell-through rate.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The highlight of the auction came on Friday, January 15 when they broke the largest single-day total in their companies history, totalling $34 million in sales.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/remembering-carroll-shelby-1923-2012\/\">Carroll Shelby\u2019s<\/a> personal 427 Cobra, CSX3178 (Lot F145) was the top seller during the event as well as breaking the record for the most valuable 427 Cobra ever sold at public auction generating a $5.94 million final sale price.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><iframe class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load\" title=\"Carroll Shelby's personal 427 Cobra Roadster sells for $5.94 million at Mecum\" src=\"about:blank\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/W86oOVsfpVM\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><noscript><iframe title=\"Carroll Shelby's personal 427 Cobra Roadster sells for $5.94 million at Mecum\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/W86oOVsfpVM\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\r\n<p>Auction of Carroll Shelby&#8217;s personal 427 Cobra Roadster<\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 7px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Coming in second to Carroll Shelby\u2019s Cobra was the 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88\u00a0Roadster (Lot MG5) which brought in $2.5 million after it was offered from the special exhibition Mecum Gallery collection.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Five other vehicles breached the million-dollar mark: another 427 Cobra CSX3318 (Lot S161) which sold for $1.38 million, a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTS (Lot F164) which sold for $1.35 million, a 1965 <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/iso-grifo\/\">Iso\u00a0Grifo<\/a>\u00a0A3\/C\u00a0Bizzarrini\u00a0(Lot S231) which sold for $1.18 million, and two Mercedes-Benz 300SLs which sold for $1.57 million (Lot S137) and $1.21 million (Lot S146).\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at the 2021 Mecum Kissimmee top 10 Sales<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align: center;\">1. 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra Roadster \u00a0(Lot F145)\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Sold for\u00a0<\/strong><strong>$5,490,000<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The 1965 Shelby 427 <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/ac-shelby-cobra-a-beast-to-tame\/\">Cobra Roadster<\/a>, chassis CSX3178,\u00a0is one of the most\u00a0valuable\u00a0examples\u00a0in Carroll Shelby\u2019s personal collection. The consigner purchased the car from Carroll Shelby\u2019s estate in 2016, and it was then given a Concours restoration by famed Cobra restorers Legendary Motor Company.
