At the time, the COVID-19 pandemic had not yet\u00a0drastically shaped the world.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u202fHandshaking and hugs were substituted for elbow bumps and nods as people did what was required to avoid COVID. Photo: Dennis Gray<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 4px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On March 13-14, HMSA will return to <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/trans-am-speedfest-laguna-seca-2019-report-photos\/\">Laguna Seca<\/a>, famously known for its \u201cCorkscrew\u201d turn, for\u00a0its season opener.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\r\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t get many opportunities to run Laguna Seca, and because we have been away from racing for a year, I think we might see some incredible cars, and I think we will all be a little more grateful to be able to get together. The track is\u00a0super-fast, technical, and has this allure. Laguna Seca is Laguna Seca. It\u2019s going to be a great way to come back to racing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Since state and local regulations about races and public events are always changing, HMSA will also be making event announcements if any changes arise. The HMSA Spring Club event is the first of two events\u00a0so far\u00a0confirmed by Vandagriff and the team\u00a0for the 2021 season.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On July 9-11, HMSA will also be hosting their annual event, the\u00a0Sommet de\u00a0Legendes\u00a0at the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Circuit_Mont-Tremblant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><a
